Rehab Support Worker – HH003
Full time rehab support worker required for our client who is living in his family home with an acquired brain injury.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team, working alongside therapy professionals, to support the client's rehabilitation programme. This will provide the successful candidate a rewarding opportunity to engage in all aspects of the client's progress.
Although this role is for day shifts, this is a 24 hour support package and there is an expectation for the team to cover absences from all shift patterns, including waking nights, therefore an element of flexibility is required.
Current Shift Patterns:
- 07:30-18:30 - Day Shift
- 10:00-20:30 - Day Shift
- 20:00-09:00 - Waking Night Shift
Pay Rates (upon completion of probationary period):
- £14.00 per hour weekday day rate
- £15.00 per hour weekday night rate
- £15.00 per hour Saturday rate
- £16.00 per hour Sunday rate
£1.00 per hour less during probationary period
5.6 week’s annual leave
Person Specification
Essential:
- Positive attitude
- Full driving licence
- Previous care experience
- Previous experience of working with brain injuries is desirable
- Flexible and reliable

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Purpose: To support your client with their day-to-day living, promoting their independence and supporting them to live a fulfilled life ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Internal and Management: This role will report to: Registered Manager
Key Duties/Responsibilities for our Support Workers:
Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by:
- Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, household tasks and paperwork
- Assist and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual’s choice
- Support and monitor your client’s healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks
- Help your clients to access community facilities and be included in community groups, if they so wish
- Understand their communication needs and adapt your own communication style accordingly
- Keep accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide
- Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Participate in learning and development opportunities as required
