We have an opportunity for a Regulatory Data Analyst to join YBS’ Data Division to lead on a transformation initiative capturing the Society’s regulatory data standards and metadata to provide assurance for regulatory returns.


It’s an exciting time to join us, you’ll support the development and approach to capturing, documenting, assuring, sharing and promoting the Society’s regulatory data sets via the Enterprise Business Data Dictionary and Glossary and supporting processes. You’ll join a likeminded and growing team in our Leeds based Enterprise Data Business Enabling team with the flexibility of hybrid working.


About the role


As Regulatory Data Analyst, you’ll collaborate with our Data Design and Finance teams to elicit and capture the regulatory reporting standards for data definitions, owners and associated metadata, lineage and data quality to enable the Society to provide assurance that our regulatory returns meet expectations You will –


  • Support the development, embedding and maintenance of the processes, procedures and methodologies for the Society’s regulatory reporting data sets

  • Work closely with our Data Management teams, embed and promote the Enterprise Business Glossary with key Finance data management stakeholders

  • Lead engagement with business stakeholders to ensure that regulatory and business requirements are captured as part of the Enterprise Business Data Dictionary and Glossary

  • Provide analysis, regular & ad-hoc reporting and status updates, and support assurance that the metadata captured within our Enterprise Data Dictionary and Glossary is accurate & up to date

  • Promote the importance of good data management through a variety of methods appropriate to the audience including presentations, workshops and training sessions


About you


You’ll have experience working in the Financial Sector, with particular expertise in financial regulatory reporting or compliance. You will have -


  • A proven track record in analytical, change management and/ or data management roles with the ability to carrying out analysis and critical thinking for business information

  • Experience working with and influencing a diverse group of stakeholders at different levels, with strong communication and leadership skills

  • Knowledge in creating, documenting and embedding standards, processes and procedures

  • Experience of collating and documenting business requirements with demonstrate confidence facilitating workshops and challenging requirements

  • Desirable - a sound working knowledge and experience of working with data lineage, metadata management and/ or data glossaries and catalogues, plus a comprehensive understanding of data management principles and standards would be ideal
