Registry Operations Manager Sheffield, England

Sheffield Hallam University
Full Time Sheffield, England 37386 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registry Operations Manager to lead our Enrolment Team. As a senior member of Registry Operations, you will be responsible for managing a team to deliver the student life cycle process relating to the enrolment and on-boarding of our students and maintaining high standards of data quality, in a fast-paced environment, with complex regulations and procedures.
Supporting students to enrol successfully is a critical element of this role, which requires you to lead, manage and continually develop the delivery of central student systems and processes, ensuring delivery of university wide strategies, plans and priorities.
You will work collaboratively, as part of a cross-university management group, to investigate problems, ensuring operational excellence and consistency of practice across the service.
Developing and improving the user experience, in collaboration with all our stakeholders, is at the heart of this role. Therefore, you should have a collaborative and analytical approach to solving problems, with a keen eye for opportunities to improve processes and systems which are both sustainable and support the future growth of the University.
You will be proficient in the use of IT systems, including student record systems and/or specialist software, as the management of large student data sets is a key part of this job.
Please apply online and include a supporting statement detailing how you meet the essential requirements outlined on the person specification. Please keep this at a maximum of 2 sides of A4. Please do not submit just a CV.
For this job, we particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic candidates who are currently underrepresented in this area at Sheffield Hallam.
The University may be able to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role. This will depend on a number of factors specific to the individual applicant.
We welcome applications for job-share, part-time and flexible working arrangements.
We offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment.
As well as 25 days annual leave and the eight standard UK bank holidays, you also get up to six extra days each year for extended University closure around some UK public/holidays.
You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) – one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country. Further details on LGPS can be found here:
