We are seeking Registered General Nurses to work day shifts on a 24 hour or 36 hour per week contract here at Oulton Abbey Care Home.

Oulton Abbey is an independent residential and nursing home in Stone, Staffordshire, our modern and purpose-built building not only offers a comfortable environment for our residents to live but also for our staff to work in.

Your role will be to work as part of a highly committed team, the Registered Nurse is one of the fundamental roles within the organisation and you will consider the residents health and well-being at the heart of everything you do and promoting independence, dignity and quality of life at all times.

· Day shifts 07:45am to 20:00pm

· Rota given 4 weeks + in advance

· A welcome bonus after 6 months probationary period of £300

· Paid training

As registered Nurse you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring of the health and well-being of the residents
  • monitoring and administration of medicines
  • completing care plans and reviewing monthly
  • Communication with residents, families, GP's & emergency services
  • Taking charge of the shift delegating and supporting other members of the team
  • ensuring staffing levels are adequate for the next shift if sickness is called in on your shift
  • Work well as a team member
  • Be aware of policies and procedures
  • Follow contingency plans if required.
  • Staff supervisions

You will need:

  • NMC- RGN qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible time
  • Demonstrate principles of accountable practice as RGN
  • Effective interpersonal/communication & influential skills
  • Cheerful & motivated disposition
  • Competence across a range of nursing skills
  • Ability to lead and work within a team

Day shifts: £19.47 per hour
