We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, creative, and hardworking Head Chef to join the team here at Redhouse!
We’re situated right in the heart of the Quayside with views of the iconic Tyne Bridge, serving some of the best pie and mash in town and we are looking for a strong leader who is filled with ideas, has passion for the industry and can keep up with the brief.
Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is essential as well as experience in working with fresh food and developing menus.
As head chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, liaising with suppliers, ensuring the smooth running of service, and the production of some amazing dishes.
Key responsibilities:
-Health and safety
-Ordering
-Stock control
-Producing & costing rotas
-Producing and costing menus
-Develop and motivate the kitchen team
-Running service, ass and have full knowledge of the menu and equipment
-Impeccable time keeping and time management
