Job description
As part of Phase II of the hospital expansion, the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital will see the new, purpose-built 5 room Endoscopy suite open this year and we are now recruiting Band 5 practitioners for this area. Whether you currently work within Endoscopy or have an interest in the speciality, this is a rare opportunity not to be missed. You will not only be working in a modern, state-of-the-art unit, but you will be involved in developing the service and building the team.
Experience in Endoscopy is not necessary, as you will be provided with training to complete the necessary competencies, however, you should have an interest in this area.
You will rotate throughout the unit, undertaking roles such as admitting, recovering and discharging patients, along with supporting the Endoscopist when performing procedures.
Our Clinical Education team is on hand to provide support; from staff induction to delivering our monthly education days. We also provide in-house development courses should you wish to further your knowledge and skills in areas such as Leadership. There will also be support from the NHS Academy, including the National Endoscopy Training Programme, to ensure staff are confident and competent in their roles.
You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to safe, effective patient-centred care, whilst having a ‘can-do’ attitude.
As we continue with this major expansion of our services, this is your chance to become part of a progressive, dynamic and person centred team, within a world renowned healthcare organisation. This is your chance to be part of the team that opens the doors for the first time at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital Endoscopy suite.
In order to apply for this position you must hold a Live PIN with the NMC.UK
