Job description
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust holds a special place in the heart of our community; it is a role that we take incredibly seriously. We have ambitious plans to continue our journey to transform our care and services for people in our borough and support our staff in the roles they fulfil.
We are a forerunner for how the NHS is changing. Our One Croydon Alliance is a trailblazer in integration. Our services work together across health, care and the voluntary sector so that we can provide the best possible, holistic care to one of London’s largest boroughs. We are working together to help people live and stay well, as well as providing expert care at times of illness.
Our Chief Nurse, Elaine Clancy, has very recently been appointed as the new Chief Nursing Officer for the South West London Integrated Care Board, so we are seeking someone to build on her legacy, who has a deep desire to make a difference to people who use Croydon Health Services.
You will have significant senior experience, as an established or aspiring executive director, with a track record of supporting employees to be the best they can be and embracing diversity to ensure excellent healthcare provision. Your authenticity and ability to inspire people will mean you build strong connections with people at all levels, inside and outside an organisation. Importantly, too, you will be able to respond to strategic and operational challenges with a positive mindset and will drive through pragmatic action.
In this role, you will professionally lead the nursing, midwifery and allied health professional teams and support our drive to provide excellent care to all and help the population in Croydon lead healthier lives. You will be the Chief Nurse for the Trust but also have a responsibility to work with Croydon place teams in a range of functions including safeguarding and continuing healthcare as well as supporting integrated care in the borough.
