There is an exciting opportunity to join Warwickshire’s Children with Disabilities Team as a Family Support Worker within our exciting and new Strengthening Families Hub.
The Children with Disabilities Team is a County Wide and fast-paced team, but one with a supportive and cohesive team culture, where the support and development of our practitioners is prioritised. We adopt a positive, can do and problem-solving approach to our work, keeping our children central to our work- their voice is key! We are not afraid to challenge ourselves and others.
Within the Team we work with children and young people who have a complex disability, including supporting children who have a physical and/or learning disability. Our Team includes Social Workers, Family Support Workers, and an Occupational Therapist. Our dedicated Team of Family Support Workers work alongside Social Workers to support our families. The Children with Disabilities Team also has close links with our Commissioners and our Short Break Provides, alongside our partners in both Health and Education.
This is an opportunity to join our new Strengthening Families Hub, which supports our families under Child in Need, making sure that they are receiving the right support.
The post will offer you the opportunity:

- To be involved in the development of the 0-25 Service, and the implementation of new ways of working
- Build strong and stabilising relationships with children, young people, and their parents/carers.

The Role
We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our Strengthening Families Hub, supporting our children in need. You will work closely with a Social Worker, working alongside our families to deliver support and interventions. This will consider a whole family approach, utilising the strengths of the family, building on their support networks and enabling our children and young people to reach their full potential.
The Role includes:
- Working alongside a family’s Social Worker, working together to support our families
- Working directly with our families to deliver evidence-based interventions, under the guidance of the family’s Social Worker.
- Work within a child in need framework, ensuring statutory timeframes are met and plans are outcome focused.
- Be passionate for achieving the best outcomes for our children and their families
