Job description

Are you a dynamic, motivated and flexible nurse, with relevant A&E experience and qualifications?

Are you looking for the opportunity to grow and develop both personally and professionally and enjoy empowering others to succeed?

We are looking for pro-active and self-motivated Paediatric Nurses who are passionate about delivering high quality patient care.

Working in a Children’s Emergency Care setting can be a challenging but rewarding clinical environment.

We are looking for someone who is a good team player and will bring a positive attitude to the Trust and have a flexible approach to working.

You must have excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills and be able to motivate and inspire the staff so that collective strengths can achieve desired outcomes.

We are a supportive and encouraging department and you will be part of a solid team of paediatric nurses with different levels of experience.

This will provide you with the support and camaraderie to make each day a good one. We have a large number of band 7 nurses working directly within the department as well as a dedicated practice development team which work wholly on enabling you to develop your skills and experiences and facilitate further learning and training.

We receive a wide variety of emergency patients, including trauma and medical/surgical admissions and it is exciting to say that our Children’s Emergency Department provides an independent Paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner led service and outpatient clinic that runs 7 days a week.

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is now one of the largest in the country, with a workforce of approximately 15,000 who serve a population of 1.2 million people.

We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

From facilities through to consultant specialists we want to be the best, to achieve this we need to recruit not just those who are the finest in their field but also those who have the potential to be. Yes, experience is important but so is outlook – if you are dynamic, forward-thinking and enthusiastic we want you to join us.

We not only offer you a good working environment with flexible working opportunities, but also the opportunity to develop your career with access to appropriate training for your job and the support to succeed and progress.
