At Summa Academy, as a Registered Behavior Technicians you would join our team of other kick-ass RBTs to support students and teachers in classrooms at our own school site in the Tri-Valley (Pleasanton and Livermore). Our RBTs implement student’s goals to include all academic and behavioral goals and objectives. Our RBTs attend to the instructional and behavioral needs of students; monitor and report student progress regarding performance with regards to each individual student’s program. In addition to providing instructional support to students with disabilities under the guidance of the Teacher and other professionals such as the BCAB, SLP, OT, the RBTs support with all duties that enable students with disabilities to have equal educational opportunities and access to their academic placement. Most importantly, we have fun! We work in schools and our goal is for our students to learn and laugh, work as a team, and help our students return to a less restrictive environment through the magic of amazing teaching and ABA.
We also provide high quality and consistent BCBA support and supervision for RBTs that are in there ABA Masters program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom and school team in providing instruction and intervention to students in an assigned classroom or program.
Assist students with disabilities to meet their goals and objectives as defined in their IEP.
Implement class-wide and individual behavior strategies to effectively maintain a safe learning environment, in collaboration with the classroom staff.
Assist the classroom and school team in monitoring, motivating and teaching students with various disabilities; observe and manage academic and behavior skills of students according to approved procedures; report progress regarding student academic performance and behavior as directed by the classroom and school team; follow the behavior intervention plan.
Support students or an assigned student with Daily Living Functional Skills and IEP goals related to areas of need.
Develop and implement modifications and intervention strategies based on student need, as directed by the classroom and school team.
Assist with data collection; take data on goals and determine when a student has reached a benchmark to ensure continued and ongoing student progress in collaboration with the classroom and school team.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
