We are looking for a Regional Planner to join us on a Fixed Term Contract until January 2024.

The purpose of this role is to plan and oversee the resource planning requirements that will ensure delivery of service is co-ordinated and delivered by the field team, courier and contractor network in line with customer and client expectations. To ensure that self-employed, SE+ and worker status couriers have all rounds efficiently optimised and stable round structure in place.

Could that person be you?
You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring the region has sufficient capacity for projected volume across sub-depots and final mile network solutions by using data and forecasting to accurately plan.
- Co-ordinating and reporting on the SE+ holiday accruals and bookings and aligning with regional resource plans to ensure accurate reporting to the Courier Support team while maintaining excellent service levels
- Arranging training provision across the regional management team and organising capacity of seven-day availability of skills to upskill the regional team
- Cost Management including, but not limited to, round negotiations, rate tracker management, PRG, CPU, flex targets and adhoc contractor solutions to ensure cost accuracy across the delivery organisation
- Supporting the Community Delivery Managers by providing excellent round management by creating viable structured rounds and splits and reporting on any postcode discrepancies (seasonal and permanent) to improve efficiency in the area
- Ensuring and delivering resource plans for Peak periods that stabilise the delivery organisation and ensure a smooth operation between delivery units and couriers
- Accountable for asset management and contingency planning to reduce costs and plan ahead
- Providing data analysis on Field activity, courier training and inductions to help identify any areas of improvement to strengthen the delivery organisation
- Managing the Regional Cover File and leading solutions to maintain and strengthen the cover file
To be successful in this role you will require the following…
Qualifications:
- Computer Literate
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Knowledge & Experience:
- Previous experience of coaching, supporting and motivating colleagues
- Problem solving and planning effective contingencies and solutions
Technical & People Skills:
- Customer Focused approach
- Competent negotiation skills
- Ability to adapt to different styles and behaviours
