Job description
The Regional Payroll Specialist (RPS) will provide support to the wider regional in-country payroll teams, through maintaining and enhancing the ongoing service delivery components between local payrolls and our payroll partners (ADP), as well as delivering against the special projects and country implementations required within the strategic regional payroll road map.
This role will act as NOVs Regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the current regional payroll service delivery model and appropriate utilisation of available Payroll Technology. The role will work closely with all regional/in country Payroll Managers in the delivery, stability, and future enhancement of necessary payroll services/dependent data to all relevant downstream payrolls.
The role will liaise directly with Payroll Vendors (ADP) client services, acting as functional SME, bridging the service delivery between the partner, NOV HR Technology, and local payroll requirements, to ensure the service and support is efficient and fulfils NOV’s needs for quality payroll delivery.
This role will report directly to the Director - Eastern Hemisphere HR Services, in supporting the wider agenda of the new Regional Payroll Operating Model.
Aberdeen is the base preference however we are open to offer this position remotely for any candidates not based within the Aberdeen area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ongoing ownership and day to day management of all the necessary partner integrations, ensuring they are stable and fit for purpose, working with HR Technology and Local Payroll Teams on the future enhancement of all integrations to improve automation and efficiencies.
- To oversee all high-level data integrity management between dependent payroll systems (Oracle Cloud / Kronos Time Keeping) in accordance with agreed specifications, to ensure accurate and reliable payroll data is delivered.
- Provide day to day issue management of integration failures or Master Data Maintenance issues that impact in-country payroll teams.
- Act as NOV Payroll SME for SAP Payroll, working with the partner vendor on SAP developments and updates and liaising with NOV HR Technology where needed on technology alignments and enhancements.
- Provide appropriate Vendor Partner / SAP Payroll training and materials, to ensure consistent and proper utilisation of the service & technology within the Payroll Partner Managed Service Model, across all relevant in-country payroll teams.
- Support the designated Project Manager/Project Team in the implementation of new partner payrolls, working with the vendor (ADP) and relevant internal NOV stakeholders in successful deployment through to business-as-usual processing within the Regional Payroll Model.
- Work high level Change Requests (via CRM) where support is needed between local payroll and Vendor Client Services, such as new Legal Entity setups or complex pay handling scenarios.
- Maintain appropriate systems/data authorisations management of NOV users within the partner model and aligning with NOV HR Technology systems requirements.
- Co-ordinate and support queries on invoice reconciliation and processing, ensuring they tie in with the agreed client vendor contractual parameters.
- Provide HR Shared Services Management with suitable ongoing service metrics to ensure appropriate service and issue monitoring is maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Higher education within relevant subject (essential)
- Applicable Payroll Certifications / Accreditations (desirable)
EXPERIENCE, SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE
- Excellent command of English – both written and spoken (essential)
- Good underlying experience of Payroll Operations and the Payroll Life Cycle (essential)
- Experience in Payroll Accounting / Payroll Reporting (essential)
- Advanced MS Excel and general data manipulation skills (essential)
- Demonstrable experience in working with various enterprise Payroll / Time Keeping Technology (essential)
- Knowledge and understanding of SAP Payroll (ADP Global View) (desirable)
- Experience with Payroll Technology Implementations / migrations (desirable)
- Advanced Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc (desirable)
