Job Purpose:
Reporting to the UK Regional President, this role will lead the fulfilment of Aston Martin objectives by ensuring a constant focus on franchise performance, brand representation, customer experience & service excellence within our Dealerships. Managing the operational relationship with retailers in the UK market to ensure brand alignment, resource planning, and human capital development to deliver Aston Martin and Dealer strategic objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop strong commercial relationships with Franchise Directors and their departmental line managers within each Dealership.
- Responsibility for performance delivery and development at each assigned Dealership across the whole Dealer business (new & pre-owned sales, marketing, financial services, aftersales)
- Project manage mid and long-term Dealer development actions and coach the Dealer teams, always fully leveraging the Aston Martin toolbox by ensuring an impactful and frequent presence at the Dealerships
- Support the growth of all Dealer income drivers, together with understanding of required cost / investment control.
- Develop marketing and demand generation plans in collaboration with the Dealers and Regional marketing team to drive this performance
- Support Dealers in their AOR analysis and identify sales potentials and suitable marketing initiatives within the Dealer AOR (e.g. product placements, local events, local adverts etc.)
- Deliver and agree retailer annual, quarterly and monthly sales and aftersales targets
- Drive performance / target commitment from each retailer both monthly and quarterly to secure achievement of retailer volume, performance and variable bonuses maximising Dealer profitability
- Review ongoing progress against all key KPIs, including sales and aftersales targets
- Accurate Forecasting of retailer performance vs monthly and quarterly targets.
- Plan and assist with new model launches and training programmes, quarterly marketing plan to maximize impact of new models and tactical programmes to supporting brand strategy and revenue targets.
- Develop and review Dealer Business and Marketing Plans to optimise Aston Martin UK revenue and retailer profitibility relative to market area potential.
- Implement and enforce Aston Martin Brand Values, Dealer Operating Standards and commercial terms to ensure Dealers meet and maintain the required Dealer Operating standards.
- Responsible for continued improvement in Dealer CSI performance and the maintain an Ultra Luxury Customer centric Dealership culture.
- Engage in monthly Dealer visits with clear meeting agendas, minutes and detailed action plans recorded for both sales and aftersales functions.
Qualification & Experience:
- Automotive management experience at Manufacturer or Retail level
- Degree Educated or a similar experience gained within the automotive industry
- Experience in the management and development of a franchised Dealer network
- Detailed and working knowledge of best practices within retail Dealerships
- Experience of manufacturer’s Dealer Management Systems
- Highly developed industry, market and customer trend insight.
- Ability to benchmark and identify best practices, turning insight into addressable plans and actions.
- Knowledge and understanding of both brand and business partner vision and investment criteria.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with extensive customer service experience
- Experience managing individuals/ team
- Current knowledge of key issues effecting the Automotive sector
- Strong commercial knowledge and 360 insight of Dealer performance
- Sales, Marketing, Operations/Organisation, Aftersales, Retention, Customer Satisfaction. Minimum competency level equivalent to Dealer DP/GM level.
- Proficient ability to use quantitative data and metrics
- Capability to work with management accounts, composite data, market share insight and KPIs to generate measured action plans addressing risk and opportunity. Using detailed statistical, numerical and financial data, identify areas for focus and trend analysis to drive performance actions
