Team description
The Marketing department is in the process of evolving and developing in order to drive business growth and revenue over the coming years. The aim is to create a best-in-class marketing function which enables Investec Wealth & Investment to be a clear market leader in the wealth management field and build and drive a marketing strategy which separates us from our key competitors.
Description of role and key responsibilities:
This is a key delivery role within the Wealth Regional Marketing team assisting the Senior Marketing Manager with planning, developing and executing effective multi-channel marketing campaigns that line up to our overall regional marketing plan. As part of a small but successful and busy team, you will need a positive can-do attitude towards tasks and be able to deliver and work effectively in under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager to plan and deliver key marketing activity for the offices in the South East Region, including both London and Guildford.
- Build strong, effective and collaborative internal relationships within the regional team in wealth and wider marketing teams across the group, to ensure we bring the best of Investec to all our clients and prospects.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders within the region to help effectively deliver and report on activity and campaigns.
- Use data driven insights to inform creative campaigns and marketing activity to more effectively target key audiences, as well as, engage and grow our current client base. Support the Senior Marketing Manager in creating, developing, and executing activity to effectively achieve this.
- Write briefs for agencies and liaise with external suppliers to successfully deliver on key marketing activations ensuring the highest quality is always delivered.
- Assist with drafting, proof-reading, and editing content in line with our tone of voice for wealth marketing activity, including collateral, client communications and working alongside stakeholders to develop local content pieces to be leveraged across all channels, including social media.
- Help to measure and report on the commercial value of all marketing activity undertaken across the region.
- Work effectively within a budget to activate campaigns.
- Monitor ongoing competitor activity and report back, focusing particularly on value propositions, market positioning, messaging and marketing activity within the region.
- Working with our partnerships to fully optimise our benefits and maximise opportunities for the office.
- The role requires excellent organisational skills, a strong attention to detail and good time management. To be successful in this role you will need a can-do attitude and a proactive approach. You will also need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves and undertake tasks that will help support the Senior Marketing Manager and team to deliver wider activity.

Event & Sponsorship Support:
- Supporting with the planning and delivery of our regional events and sponsorships within the South East region, which will be a combination of both virtual and physical activity.
- Support the delivery of end-to-end event logistics.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager with budget forecasting and reconciliation, invoicing, and cost negotiation.
- Leverage multiple channels to optimise event and sponsorship activity, including email platform, website and social media.
- Supplier and hospitality engagement.
- Measure and report on the commercial value of all marketing events and sponsorships undertaken for the region, linked to the wider IWI reporting strategy programme.
- Support the management of ROI for all event programmes, linked into the wider IWI reporting strategy programme.
- Help ensure all Health & Safety, risk assessment and event contracts are completed for all events and data complies with GDPR.
- Own data lists and data capture to ensure ability for Marketing to engage in long term communications with prospects and clients.
Core skills and knowledge
Technical
- Proven experience in inputting and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Ability to evaluate and provide objective feedback on concepts and creative execution.
- Superb project management and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience of managing and executing events and sponsorship programmes.
- Knowledge of importance of brand guidelines and consistency with events and sponsorship activation.
- Ability to work collaboratively to activate wider sponsorship group assets.
- Experience of working with suppliers and agencies.
- Excellent time management- able to deliver and work to tight deadlines, multi-tasking and ability to time manage own work effectively.
- Experience of working in a corporate environment as part of a marketing team.
- Understanding of hospitality and gift support.
- Skill set in helping manage budgets and ROI against core event programmes.

- Comfortable working independently from home or regional ‘home' office.
- Flexible to travel to offices both within the region and around the country to support office marketing activation, and attend broader team meetings and workshops when required.

- CIM/IDM Diploma /Certificate in Digital Marketing
