This role is a great opportunity to join Qantas in a key leadership role as our Regional Marketing Director for the UK, Europe, and Africa. With dual reporting lines into the Regional General Manager UKEMEA in London and the Global Head of Qantas Airlines Marketing in Sydney, this role carries accountability for shaping Qantas' marketing strategy and operations across the region.
As the Regional Marketing Director, you will lead and manage a small, talented marketing team to deliver consistently outstanding performance across the region. Your leadership role will be pivotal in shaping and evolving Qantas’s marketing strategy and approach for the region and directly responsible for conceptualising, implementing, managing and measuring all marketing activities, across all marketing channels, for the key markets in region.
You’ll bring to the role:
- 15+ years experience in marketing roles, with a deep knowledge of the UK market in particular and experience in airlines/aviation a big asset
- A comprehensive understanding of the marketing discipline and processes, with experience in digital and media strategy and knowledge of current marketing trends
- Thought leadership and a passion for developing innovative marketing solutions using data, analysis, insights and your own experience
- Strong marketing planning & implementation experience, with a track record of delivering results in complex organisational environments
- Strong commercial acumen and a highly pragmatic, action and outcome-oriented approach
- The ability to work effectively within a matrix reporting environment, collaborating effectively with in person, remote and Head Office teams
- Great communication and an ability to effectively influence a broad variety of internal and external stakeholders
- A desire and track record of being a good team player who builds strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- A passion for travel and tourism alongside a sense of humour, positivity and resilience
- An ability to travel internationally and to work outside of standard UK work hours (to engage with your colleagues around the world, but particularly in Australia).
