Job description
Vets Now Manchester are expanding in 2023 with ECC continuing to be at the heart of the hospital. As such we are looking to recruit an ECVECC/ACVECC board-certified (or board-eligible) small animal emergency and critical care clinician to join our current team of ECC specialists, residents and interns. As the industry leader in ECC we are looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals who can benefit from our varied caseload, collaborative team ethos and join us to help shape the future of ECC in Europe.
This is a truly unique time to join the team in a growing business, which values your input, to ensure an ECC service that is future proofed and committed to delivering the best care for clients and their pets, in a way that also protects staff wellbeing.
What makes us different?
We work hard to keep a small hospital feel in a large hospital setting. Collegiality and collaboration are key for us and our teams tell us they love the feel and support in the hospitals amongst colleagues. We truly believe that working together is working smarter and allows us to deliver the very best in patient, client and staff care.
We are expanding to further enhance our emergency rooms and intensive care units. We already have state of the art equipment including a purpose-built ICU, a cot bed and incubators, portable ultrasonography, fully equipped ER stations and modern mechanical ventilators, with a cell salvage device one on the horizon too. Additionally, ECC has access to all the hospital facilities including an in-house 16 slice CT, digital radiography, theatre digital fluoroscopy and state of the art ultrasound machine.
We care about feedback. We listen to our all our clinicians from the most senior to the most junior, to ensure we are looking out for their best interests. We also listen to our referring vets and clients to ensure we are providing the service they want and need. We have a Net promotor Score of 84 which is world class in terms of service provision, and we are constantly striving for excellence in all we do.
We also encourage further education at all levels and encourage our teams to get involved with a wide range of CPD events including local and national Congress, Intern and Resident seminars, and the Vets Now Cutting and AdvantEdge programmes which help enhance the quality of emergency vets across the country. We host regular online meetings with IVC Evidensia ECC referral clinicians in different countries to engage in clinical discussions, share ideas and grow as a team and discipline.
Be part of an exceptional team
The successful candidate will join a well-established, growing ECC team as well as Discipline-specific and rotating interns and a friendly and high-skilled ECC nursing team. ECC work closely with other referral clinicians in multiple disciplines, discipline-specific nurses, speciality residents and discipline specific interns, in addition to our experienced out of hours team. The reassurance of having such a strong, well-established team to support, lends itself well to a great work-life balance, by allowing you to switch off when you are not at work.
