Job description
The Role
Rightmove Landlord and Tenant Services (RLTS) is growing. We’re an ambitious team who really celebrate ideas and innovation, championing our people to play an influential part in our journey. We have some truly exciting plans to make our flagship referencing team even bigger and better in 2023 meaning now is the perfect time to get involved in an exciting growing business with lots of opportunity.
We work on behalf of letting agents (our clients) to reference prospective tenants for rental properties across the UK, which includes obtaining references from previous landlords and assessing their financial suitability for the property. It is a fast-paced role with a mix of inbound and outbound calls, responding to emails and assessing documentation provided as evidence. We pride ourselves on offering outstanding customer service to our clients and require passionate and committed individuals to join us as we continue our growth.
A typical week as a Referencing Executive might involve:
- Progressing applications for prospective tenants and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
- Making phone calls consistently throughout the day and sending emails to chase responses from applicants, landlords, employers, and any other relevant referees.
- Educating tenants and their referees on the requirements in order to establish affordability and suitability for a property and assisting them in how to provide.
- Taking phone calls and assessing emails to update applications and our customers of progress.
- Completing detailed and accurate final reports to reflect all investigations to make recommendations to our clients based on information gathered.
- Achieving targets and KPI’s surrounding inbound calls, email turnaround time and finishing final reports.
We are looking for somebody who:
- Is an excellent communicator – confident, professional, and approachable.
- Has a passion for customer service.
- Has the ability and drive to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Is experienced in managing varying workloads.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication.
- Is able to work within a team to achieve team, department, and business goals.
- Demonstrates good judgement and a decisive mindset.
- Has a willingness to learn, develop and build on feedback.
- Can be adaptable to business developments and customer needs.
Ultimately, we care much more about the person you are, how you think and approach things, than a list of qualifications and buzzwords on a CV. Even if you can’t say ‘yes’ to all the above, but are smart, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering a great experience to our customers then you could be just what we’re looking for.
