Department: Waste & Recycling
Our Recycling Department is responsible for the removal of household recycling and waste, industrial and commercial waste, organic waste, and dry recyclable waste from a variety of locations (for example houses, shops and schools) within the Bath & North East Somerset Council area.
Our recycling department is made up of several operational roles and we are keen to encourage training and development. For example, once you join as a B&NES employee we will help you progress from loader to driver role with paid driver training.
Recycling Collections Operative (Post 41878) - £22,777 + contractual overtime per annum pro rata
You will be lifting and emptying waste containers, including, food caddy’s, card sacks, household bins plastic sacks, wheelie bins, and paper sacks into our recycling vehicles.
Team Leader Driver (non LGV) - Recycling (Post 40082A) - £24,054 to £25,878 + contractual overtime per annum pro rata
Our next level with driving our 7.5 tons or below vehicles you may be collecting from narrow access areas, delivering replacement recycling boxes or loading as required.
Team Leader Driver LGV Collections (Post 41877) - £28,900 - £29,439 + contractual overtime per annum pro rata
You will be responsible for supervising allocated staff and will involve driving and overseeing the safe use of vehicles, plant and machinery, including recycling vehicles of different sizes. You will be responsible for the direction of the work of trainees, agency staff and/or other employees assigned to you.
