About the Position
The position is responsible for recruitment and selection of the right candidates and the management of the day-to-day activities towards the crew. Equally responsible for recruitment, crew logistics, compliance, and systems data quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit and select potential candidates using various platforms to reach the right audience
- Advertise vacancies appropriately on company website and social media
- Assist Crew Coordinator with interviews and assess if candidates have relevant skills, competencies, and experience
- Regular communication with candidates
- Check crew documents and certification and highlight training needs before the mobilization
- Assist with personnel crew changes, flight arrangements, accommodation, and any other logistics requirements
- Assist with the process of applying for specific visas and work permits
- Maintain offshore personnel records and certification
- Process expenses and timesheets ensuring completion as per payroll deadlines
- Assist with other tasks as directed to ensure the operations run smoothly
- Participate in the duty phone arrangement if applicable.
Education
- High School or equivalent education and/or documented experience from equivalent employment within the shipping industry
Personal qualities
- Previous experience in recruitment
- Experience working in the shipping industry
- Excellent customer service
- Good planning and organisation
- Great communication and time management
- Ability to adopt to change and flexibility
