Job Description
As a Recruitment and Onboarding Officer you will be a skilled communicator, engaging, inspiring, and promoting Be Caring to people locally. You will recruit values-driven people to deliver high quality care in the community and in people's homes, meeting the needs of the local service and individual care needs. You will develop local partnerships and pathways to employment and promote Be Caring externally through job fairs, community events, advertising, and social media presence.
We are seeking a confident, engaging communicator with strong organisation and administration skills who will:
- Recruit values-driven people who are experienced, talented, and new to care.
- Maintain recruitment files, ensuring compliance with Be Caring and CQC standards, legislation, and requirements.
- Prioritise your workload, managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and producing other reports, being proactive and responsive to local recruitment needs and priorities.
Recruiting and Supporting Colleagues
- Screening applicants and interviewing people who have the right values and can support the team in meeting the needs of people in their homes and in their community.
- Promote job opportunities, creating partnerships and pathways to employment with local partners and local authority employment preparation for care schemes.
- Raise our profile locally utilising social media, attending local community events, job fairs and promoting our Refer a Friend scheme to colleagues.
- Complete onboarding calls with new starters, raise and share concerns and issues so that they can be resolved, supporting people to remain in their roles so that we can achieve high care continuity.
Managing and Maintaining Recruitment Compliance
- Maintain recruitment files, ensuring compliance ready for lone working in the community. You will check and verify documents, which includes, DBS, Right to Work documents, references, risk assessments.
- Work with the central recruitment team and local management team to highlight risks and share information, ensuring we comply with safe recruitment standards and legislation.
Administration
- Manage applicants on the ATS keeping records up-to-date and accurate.
- Add colleagues to our Care System in a timely manner and complete recruitment trackers
- Complete and record onboarding calls on the care system, reporting and share risks as appropriate.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of engaging and communicating effectively with people
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Experience of managing social media profiles and effective promotion or marketing (desirable)
