We have a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and friendly Retail Van Driver to work 22.5 hours (3 days) per week, flexibly between Monday to Friday.
About the role
Our Retail Driver works as part of the Shop Support Team, supporting our Charity shops to achieve sustainable growth of contribution year on year.
This role is fundamental to our Retail operation with the Driver being responsible for timely and efficient collection and distribution of stock to our shops. The job is all about making sure our van is driven safely around the shops to deliver, collect and move stock & donations to where they need to be, on time and to the right place.
The Retail Driver is also responsible for ensuring the vans are kept clean & roadworthy. You'll find every day challenging but rewarding.
About you
We're looking for someone who is reliable, conscientious, can follow H&S procedures and has proven experience of driving professionally as part of a retail supply chain. You'll need to be able to work flexibly to enable our shops to maximise their sales and profits, to support the fantastic care Ty Hafan provides to children and their families.

Tŷ Hafan currently has 18 charity shops, geographically spread from Aberystwyth in the west of Wales to Cwmbran in the east. Our dedicated Retail team plays a key role in raising essential funds to enable Tŷ Hafan’s care provision through our hospice and community programmes which support life-limited children and their families in Wales. We strive to be an innovative, supportive, and agile team, working to collectively deliver ambitious goals.
Our retail network raises money for the Charity from the sale of donated goods (mainly clothing, bric-a-brac and household goods) to the general public, a small amount of bought-in ‘new’ goods, and the sale of tickets for the charity’s ‘Crackerjackpot’ weekly lottery. Income is also generated from cash donations, gift aid on donated goods and the sale of waste clothing and household goods to recycling merchants. Each shop team has a salaried manager and deputy, and is supported by a team of fantastic volunteers.
Our skilled hospice team provides specialist care for children with wide ranging and complex conditions, from pre-birth all the way through to 18 years of age and beyond as the lives of our families our profoundly changed so we focus on their needs too.
