As an administrator within the Recruitment Support Centre, you will be working in a fast paced administrative and customer environment. We support candidates applying for roles at Boots through their online recruitment journey. We respond to phone calls and emails from those involved in the recruitment journey within our stores and support office.
This role is based at the Nottingham Support office site in Beeston, with a combination of office working and home working every week, after the initial training period. As we are looking for people to join us for summer peak and Christmas recruitment period, candidates need to be fully flexible to work between 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday. A rest day during the week will be scheduled where Saturday working is required. The salary for this role is £23,000 per annum.
This is a fixed term contract role. We are looking for candidates to start with us from the end of August 2023 until the end of November 2023 but if you do a great job we would hate to lose you!
What you’ll be doing day to day
- Working as part of a large team in an administration role, you’ll work closely with your allocated stores to understand their recruitment needs and provide them with the highest calibre of candidates for the role. You will be involved in managing the end to end candidate journey from application right through to their first day in store.
- You will look after screening our candidates, setting up interviews using our bespoke recruitment systems, supporting candidates after they have been offered a role with us to ensure they are paid accurately and on time.
- In addition, you will support our hiring managers and be there for them when they need help.

- You’ll listen to our candidates and hiring managers, it’s not just about answering questions - it’s about being really personable. It’s the little things that make a real impact.
- As our candidates first port of call you’ll represent Boots as a brand, and who we are – so how we support candidates really reflects what it’s like at Boots.
- You’ll understand how our application systems work, we use a lot of different software, so your technical know-how and knowledge of our systems will be second to none.
- By providing insights and passing on feedback you’ll help make great changes to our business.
- Provide a brilliant experience for our Hiring Mangers and help them recruit the best people into Boots.
- You’ll be organised and be able to self-manage your workload and will be able to prioritise your work effectively to ensure our candidates and hiring managers hear back in a timely manner.
- You’ll be available to answer calls from hiring managers throughout the day to provide an excellent service to anyone who needs your help.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for really great people, with a friendly personality who are confident communicating both in writing and on the phone.
We want people who are organised, have strong level of IT literacy, can prioritise workloads and work on their own initiative as well as in a large team. Boots is always changing for the better, so it is essential that you are adaptable to change and able to work with ambiguity.
With your previous work experience you will be able to demonstrate how you can deliver amazing care to our candidates and hiring managers using your excellent communication skills.
