Daily reconciliation of all Network Partner and house bank account statements and VPL’s Admin systems and to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the upload – All items to be cleared same dayReconciliation of transactions in Seg Liquidity/EP Central 250+ accounts – Ensuring no items age without clear resolution plan
Investigate un-matched items to resolution, escalating within guidelines and where required, log all non-reconciling items via Email/Salesforce to the relevant department for investigation or correction whilst remaining responsible for effective resolution
Collaborate across the VPL business (e.g, Treasury/Payment Operations) to enhance investigation of reconciliation breaks
Provide summary of overall reconciliation position daily for senior manager review and regular distribution to other stakeholders (e.g., compliance and risk management) Escalate according to internal agreed deadlines
Oversee unapplied/overdue debit processes ensuring same day allocation of unapplied debit and provide approval of unapplied debits/Journals
Ensure process documentation is up to date and is updated on an annual basis in line with internal policies
Train and support team members in understanding and performing reconciliation procedures, to ensure that errors are understood to prevent reoccurrence.
Responsible for KRI monthly reporting to the Risk team
Understand safeguarding requirements for Reconciliation and provide update and escalation when required
Take the lead on process improvement projects
Support the testing of new routes for Network Partner and Clients
Delegation for Senior Rec’s manager to cover Monitoring email/Debits approvals and Journals within policy range
- Ensure adherence to Process and Policies
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Technical Experience
- Demonstrate good working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel and Macro
- Proven ability of high-volume data input skills with appropriate attention to detail is essential
- Solid exposure and proven ability to exhibit an accurate and systematic approach to bank reconciliation essential
- Ideally, currently studying an accountancy related qualification
- Strong investigation background

- Understanding and appreciation of procedures and systems
- Ability to work under pressure, maintaining accuracy whilst achieving timescales
- Good sense of team spirit and positive attitude
- A strong ability to resolve reconciliation issues in a timely and accurate manner
- Able to build strong relationships with other team members and external contacts
Work Experience
- Demonstrated skills working as a bank reconciliation professional is essential
- Experience in high volume transaction environment is essential
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of international payments environment is an advantage
- 3 - 5 years’ experience within the reconciliation Function
