Job description
Our client is a secondary school and sixth form who are looking for a term time Head Receptionist to join their team within school hours. You will be responsible for general administration duties, including taking phone calls, responding to emails, issuing passes for visitors / students and staff and so on. The ideal candidate will have some administration experience and should have exceptional customer service skills, both face to face and over phone / email. This is a full-time role from Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, with an early finish at 3:30 pm on Friday. Our client is an equal opportunities employer.
Responsibilities
- To oversee the 'front of house' area and ensure all visitors receive a warm welcome
- To always project a professional image of the College
- Answer and direct all incoming phone calls
- Process and distribute incoming post and frank outgoing post
- Maintain the general email account responding to queries/directing enquiries as required
- Issue ID passes for students, staff, and visitors
- Assist in the upkeep of student and staff records, ensuring all safeguarding checks are completed for agency staff
- Organise and store paperwork, documents, and computer-based information
- Order stationery and first aid equipment
- Use a range of software including email, spreadsheets, SIMS, and other databases
- Assist with the management of student lockers and keys
- Assist with organising meeting rooms and ordering refreshments when required
- Typing, emailing, filing, photocopying, data entry and other administrative tasks
Requirements

Job Title: Head Receptionist (term time school hours)
Location: Brighton
Salary: £20,746 pro rata (£23,194 FTE)
Full Time: 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday (8am - 4pm), Friday (8am - 3:30pm)
