Job description
Applications are invited for the post of part-time Receptionist. The successful candidate will join the front of house team at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) which is based in West Cambridge.
Playing a key role in providing a professional welcome to all visitors, the role-holder will be the first point of contact for telephone and in-person enquiries to the Division, meeting and greeting visitors, booking meeting rooms, arranging couriers, keeping the reception area tidy, sorting and distributing post and organising car parking, and will be the first point of contact in an emergency.
The role requires the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people, both in person and over the telephone, so you will need excellent customer-facing skills, as well as a high level of professionalism and tact. In addition to this, the ability to manage a diverse range of activities, often under pressure, is essential.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance.
