Job description

We are seeking a new main Receptionist for the Department of Pharmacology. This is a vital front-of-house position that is essential to the smooth running of the Department.
Are you are customer-focused individual with experience of working on your own initiative? Do you have experience of providing excellent and friendly service and an good eye for detail? Are you reliable and flexible and able to organise and prioritise your workload?
Experience of working in a customer service environment and good IT skills are essential. You should be able to communicate effectively and clearly with people at all levels of the Department and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all your colleagues.
If you are a trained first aider, have experience of the University’s Oracle system or experience working in an academic or research environment, this would be an advantage.
This is a permanent role, offered on a full-time basis, subject to an intial probationary period of six months.
