Job description

We’re looking for a Receptionist to join our Front of House team at Tigerlily – if you think you’ve got what it takes, we’d love to hear from you!

About us…

Step into Tigerlily and discover Edinburgh’s most talked-about boutique hotel, bar and restaurant. Stylish? Absolutely. But we’ve been here long enough to know that good looks will only get you so far in life. Amidst pink hues, mirrored walls and chandeliers lie 33 bedrooms that effortlessly blend contemporary design with original features of our Georgian building.

We’re also home to a buzzing bar and restaurant, open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night drinks with a bit of dancing thrown in too. We pride ourselves on having a little something for everyone, with a vast array of hand-crafted cocktails, to select seasonal A La Carte menus served all day long – it’s what we do.

About the role…

Our reception team are the first point of contact for our hotel, bar and restaurant, they handle just about everything. Working alone and as part of a team, you will manage the daily running of what is a very busy reception desk. It is a faced paced, busy role with excellent progression opportunity for the right person.

An ideal Receptionist will…

  • Be passionate about the hotel industry, has a friendly and lively personality and comes from a strong customer service background.
  • Be efficient, well organised and impeccably presented
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Have a passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Have an excellent telephone manner and command of spoken and written English
  • Have competent IT knowledge
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to multi task
  • Experience with computerised reservations particularly Opera would be advantageous

And finally, what we offer…

At Montpeliers we offer a challenging yet fun training programme which includes management development and the ability to learn and progress from day one.

But it’s not all work and no play, our venues in Edinburgh are also fantastic for meeting new people and making new friends! Excellent staff benefits, incentives and tip earning are just some things you can look forward to.

So, if you think you have what it takes to work with one of the country’s leading hospitality operators – hit apply now.
