Night Receptionist / Porter

Location: St Andrews Hotel, Alphington Road, Exeter

Salary: £11 an hour

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Thursday)

The St Andrews Hotel is a 24-bedroom independant hotel actively seeking a night receptionist/porter who will be responsible for the Hotel, the guests and the operation during the night period to ensure the safety and security of all guests.

The Night Receptionist will be responsible for the following:

• Guest Check-ins/ Check-outs
• Deal with enquiries in person and over the phone
• Being responsible for the security of the building and guests overnight
• Adhering to all fire and health & safety regulations
• General Maintenance of the guest house and cleanliness within all areas
• Maintaining high standards of Cleanliness within the hotel by way of nightly cleaning tasks
• Demonstrate good attention to detail
• Laundry tasks
• Handover to the morning team.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in a reception or night porter role, preferably within a hotel environment
• Computer Literate
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations remaining calm.
• Reliable, Efficient and pro-active
• Confident and effective communicator who can converse at all levels
• High levels of personal presentation and grooming
