Job Title: Receptionist

Trust Location: George Eliot Hospitals NHS Trust

Hours: 2 days per week, day and nights, on a rolling rota

6:45am-7:15pm (1hrs break, or 30 mins and leave 30 mins early potentially) and 6:45pm-7:15am.

Pay: £11.45 enhanced rate paid for nights

About the Trust

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women’s, children’s, diagnostic and therapeutic services to a population of more than 300,000 people. The hospital opened in 1948. The hub of the Trust is located on the outskirts of Nuneaton and its services cover a large footprint, including north Warwickshire, south west Leicestershire, and north Coventry. The Trust also provides a range of community services, delivered across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. These include sexual health and community dentistry services for the whole of Warwickshire as well as hosting the Blue-Sky Sexual Assault Referral Centre.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· ·Be able to work on your own under pressure and take responsibility regarding patient care in the Emergency Department.

· Book patients into the Emergency Department and printing of relevant paperwork.

· To document all patients admitted from the Emergency Department to a ward and update the computer system appropriately.

· To photocopy A&E documentation

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Knowledge - of Lorenzo (EPRS) would be desirable

· strong reception/admin based background

· Microsoft Package

· Excellent customer service skills

· Excellent Administration skills
