Job Title: Receptionist

About the Trust

We provide mental health and learning disability care for people across Norfolk and Suffolk. We support a population of just over 1.6 million people and employ more than 4,700 staff. Our biggest bases are at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich, Wedgwood House, Bury St Edmunds and Woodlands Unit in Ipswich but our staff are based in more than 50 locations.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Log visitors in and out of building, allocating ID badges as appropriate.

· Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.

· Ensure staff location system is up to date and supporting the Lone Working Policy and protocols.

· Receive and process information from teams including typing, photocopying and faxing documents.

· Maintain room booking systems.

· Maintain filing systems as per Trust Policy and Procedures.

· Monitor and order stationery.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· RSA II Word Processing or equivalent NVQ 2 Customer Services or equivalent experience

· Excellent IT and keyboard skills

· Excellent organisational skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Excellent telephone manner

· Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
