Aston Clinton Veterinary Centre requires a bubbly, friendly, caring person to join our reception/office team. Good empathetic communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic and a friendly, understanding attitude towards clients as client interaction is key. Greeting and welcoming clients to the vets, boarding kennels and grooming parlour both in person and on the phone and dealing with their requirements.
The role
Duties: Answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries and making appointments and bookings. Taking payments and keeping appropriate records on the computer. End of day cashing up and general office duties. Keeping reception clean, tidy and well presented. Filling prescriptions and dispensing medications on the advice of the veterinary surgeon. Give advice where appropriate and be responsible for retail sales of diet foods and pet products. Skills/Qualifications: Experienced Veterinary Receptionist, Excellent Telephone Skills and Verbal Communication, Keyboard Skills, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Organisation, Able to work as part of a team and independently. Working Hours: Working on a rolling rota averaging 40 hours a week, 1 weekend in 4 and a day off before and after a weekend has been worked. Start times do vary as do finish times.
