Formed in 2005, Private Equity owned Parkingeye, is looking to support customers in both managing their car parks and helping them generate revenues. Parkingeye is the leader in their field of expertise and our growth trajectory is set to high. We are looking for a best in class candidate to join our senior team.
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, the role of the National Sales Manager is critical to the on-going success and future growth of Parkingeye. Finding new sites – either whitespace or winning from other providers – is what will underpin our growth.
As National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for a team of Commercial Managers who are targeted monthly to deliver new business contracts within their geographical region. You will drive pipeline growth by ensuring that your team are delivering appropriate activity levels commensurate with their own conversion ratios and the pipeline will be expected to meet our ROI expectations. Your team will have end to end ownership of the customer from early engagement through to contract signature when you will hand the customer over to our brilliant Account Management team who will manage the contract life. As the leader of the team, you will be expected to be out in the field supporting your team in customer meetings and with a hands on coaching style. You will also lead the conversations with large customers if needed.

As the key interface with our new customers, you will set high standards for your team which originate from you personally and these will form the basis of how our customers expect to be dealt with throughout their time with Parkingeye. To do this effectively, you will need to liaise with other teams and senior stake holders to ensure any challenges are resolved quickly and efficiently without the need for customer involvement.
You will be the face of the sales team internally and your conduct will ensure good internal relationships for your team but will also set the benchmark for how your team will be expected to communicate internally. Close relationships with the Exec are the norm for this role and you will be expected to be visible both internally and externally.
You will be the main point of contact for your team and you will need to be able to cope under pressure, having multiple asks and queries to manage at any one time. Meeting targets is a given and exceeding targets is expected.
Since you will communicate both in oral and written form, you should be a confident speaker with excellent written communication skills
Duties include
- Day to day management of up to 10 Commercial Managers including pipeline reviews, coaching, joint customer visits and supporting tender bids
- Defining and regularly reviewing Go to Market sales models and plans in conjunction with our marketing and telesales team
- Regular coaching of Commercial Managers around expected returns for each site before it’s presented at ROI meeting.
- Be prepared to lead the ROI presentation to the Exec and support your team in getting sites approved for contract signature
- Assist in the development of business and marketing plans for the company, identifying and qualifying growth potential.
- Take the lead in finding new verticals/large customers including how we market to those prospects and convert the conversation into opportunities
- Re-enforcing, maintaining and developing the Parkingeye brand through professional conduct at all times
- Compliance with CRM personally and throughout the team
- Ability to deliver professional presentations to an internal & external audience.
- Must have a positive outlook & the ability to work effectively with others to achieve the required targets
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
Skills Required:
Leadership
- At least 5 years in sales management ideally with FMCG background
- Is open to sharing ideas with other internal teams and leading on internal projects to benefit the business
- Is regarded across the business as a senior leader and earns respect and trust as such

- Exercises judgement in adapting style and nature of written and verbal communication. This must be professional at all times
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills including questioning for clarification and establishing of facts, observation and active listening.
- Is more than capable of communicating with internal customers including at Exec level as well as being confident in presenting to C Suite level within customers
