The mission of the Corporate FP&A team is to provide strategic financial guidance to the organisation by analysing and communicating financial information and business trends, running company budgets and forecasts, and evaluating financial performance to inform decision making. As a senior member of the team, you will lead the executive reporting and forecasting and planning processes, and act as a trusted partner to functional, market and corporate teams on strategic and financial matters. This is a hugely varied role with significant exposure to the CFO, Finance VPs and wider Executive team, suitable for someone who enjoys the fast pace and challenge of working for a large international business with a strong entrepreneurial culture.
What you'll be doing
- Leading company level P&L reviews and executive financial reporting, proactively delivering insightful analysis of key trends and business drivers and financial risks and opportunities.
- Leading the monthly financial forecast cycles, and annual plan. Managing the process, calendar, stakeholders and key reporting outputs.
- Managing company level risks and opportunities to provide sensitivity analysis on forecasts and helping to deliver on financial commitments.
- Using underlying macroeconomic trends, competitive benchmarks and other external market factors to support forecast assumptions and key business insights.
- Collaborating with Data Science teams to roll out Machine Learning tools to improve forecast accuracy and drive efficiencies.
- Maintaining a detailed knowledge and understanding of business drivers across markets and functions by tracking performance of weekly trading metrics
- Leading ad hoc analytical support to guide operational and strategic decision-making.
- Leading enhancement and automation of management reporting and planning processes to facilitate oversight and decision-making, while also ensuring financial controls, data integrity and accuracy.
- Attracting, developing, and coaching a highly talented and motivated team. Setting priorities, removing obstacles for delivering on objectives, and ensuring the team is focused on providing value-added support that helps deliver strong financial performance.
- Doing all of the above in cross-functional collaboration across the business, in particular working closely with the executive leadership and teams including Finance & Strategy, Investor Relations, and Accounting.
What you will bring to the role:
You will have worked in a global, complex, entrepreneurial environment, be able to understand the key financial drivers of a business, and had experience of planning large scale processes and seeing them through to delivery. You will be highly solution-orientated and an expert at adapting to an ambiguous and changing environment. You will have:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, and keen attention to detail
- A talent for written and spoken communication, with experience of producing concise reports for senior management
- Excellent project management capabilities, with ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment
- A deep understanding of P&Ls and the drivers of positive and negative performance
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships and the self-confidence to communicate effectively with the CEO, CFO and executive team
- Confidence with ambiguity and excel at solving unstructured problems
- Experience working with high-growth organisations, preferably technology companies
