Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Live Urgent Care Somerset

Pay: $16.00-19.00 per hour

How you will make an impact

• Tend to patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
• Providing administrative assistance to patients
• Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
• Highly-responsive to telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings
• Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
• Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
• Updating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, data entry, scanning, etc.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting (e.g., urgent care)
• High School Diploma

Skills:

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Compassion for patients
• Excellent computer/technological skills
• Actively listening to patient concerns
• Explaining procedures to patients

Physical Demands:

• Occasionally required to sit
• Occasionally required to walk
• Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (25-50 pounds)
