Hotel Receptionist for 5 Star Relais & Chateaux Glenapp Castle Hotel, Ayrshire
Due to an exciting business expansion, there has never been a better time to join our rapidly growing business and we are now welcoming applications for an Hotel Receptionist to join our five- star team at Glenapp Castle.
The Receptionist Department is the ‘engine room’ of Glenapp and this role will conduct and supply all the advance planning and administrative work required for the Hotel Operations team to consistently deliver Glenapp’s five-star service to all our guests, visitors, and suppliers.
The role entails everything from greeting the guests on arrival and departure, answering the telephone, guest billing, reservations for guest stays & non-res dining, typing daily changing menus, creating daily table plans, handling money, daily banking, participating in daily operations meeting, troubleshooting emergencies, and dealing with all Guests requests. This department is also responsible for our growing Concierge Services department where we arrange a large variety of guests activities and experience in and around Glenapp Castle.
This role works 40 hours, 4 days over 7 on a shift pattern and over weekends. Dependent on experience we will consider part time and full time.
Experience within the luxury hotel sector is desirable, a hotel reception or operational background is important and full training will be provided. A willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential. We are always interested to hear from talented individuals from all walks of life.
This is a consistently very busy department, and we are looking for a great team player, an experienced hotel professional and someone who can multi-task and work quickly.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

- strong organisation and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility
- good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office 365
