The Opportunity
Are you a self-motivated individual who wants the opportunity to be working within a pro-active Academy team and collaborating with company and customer stakeholders both locally and pan geographically.
The Academy Project Support Officer will join the IMS EW Line of Business and apply effective Academy support activities across a variety of site coordination, training project support packages and programme deliverables. The individual will also coordinate training activities relating to the day to day operation of the Academy.
What you will do
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling all training activities within the Academy.
- Act as the main point of contact for the coordination and scheduling of all related training activities for the Academy.
- Maintain and update the Academy schedule and calendar, with the aim of supporting programmes to achieve representation at key events e.g. Training Readiness and customer reviews.
- Working with ISS Facility services to ensure that Academy service requirements (i.e. Safety, Health and Environment) are maintained and met.
- Establish and develop effective relationships across the Academy, Project, Customers, Business areas/functions and Industry Partners.
- Coordinate and support Academy audit and quality assurance reviews.
- Support the delivery of effective project management and scheduling services across the Academy to ensure work packages are completed and that all relevant processes are adhered to.
- Provide support to the IPT Leads in coordinating a consistent approach to project management reporting for customer contracts.
- Assist in coordinating risk reviews across Academy training projects.
- Support the delivery of defined elements within a project, where allocated to directly support a specific project.

- Personable and able to obtain updates from busy teams by required deadlines.
- Able to operate with minimal supervision, once task allocation is provided.
- Experience of developing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Experience or awareness of related functions such as Work package coordination, Configuration control and Quality Assurance.
- Demonstrable experience in all aspects of project planning, - risk/opportunity management, scheduling and work package management.
- Pro-active and motivated, striving for continuous improvement, effectiveness and efficiency and with a focus on achieving high performance against objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload and to work autonomously.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think laterally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power-point, Project
- Ideally experience of SAP
