Full time, 37.5 hours, term time only
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join us at Avanti Grange School in the Bishop’s Stortford area.
Avanti Grange Secondary School opened in September 2022 on the site of our new primary school, Avanti Meadows, before moving to a new, permanent site in September 2023. The school opened with 4 forms of entry (120 Year 7 students only) in September 2022 rising to 6 form of entry (180 Year 7 students) from September 2023.One of the many things that makes Avanti Grange Secondary School distinctive is its values-based approach to education. We encourage students to value self, others and the environment and empower them to be effective learners as well as good and responsible citizens. The school offers a broad, balanced and extensive curriculum as well as a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities. What will you do?
- Undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone, face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors.
- Provide routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, e-mailing, complete routine forms.
- Undertake routine financial administration e.g. collect and record dinner money.
- Adhere to school health and safety policy including risk assessment and safety systems.

What are we looking for?
- Experience of general clerical /administrative work.
- Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to plan and manage their own time effectively and work prioritizing tasks in a time efficient manner and keep to deadlines in a very busy environment.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
