Responsibilities:- Prepare orders for shipment (print labels, pick, pack, ship); check inventories; verify receipt of materials, quantities, and quality of materials being shipped; complete logs, lists, forms, and required paperwork.
- Load/unload trucks, use forklift and pallet jack, review documents, check for quantities and quality, record identifying information following company policy and procedures.
- Communicate with other departments on damages, shortages, etc
- Work with truck drivers/trucking companies to resolve problems, answer questions, etc.
- Understand a variety of paperwork (international, hazardous, container shipment, etc
Work experience requirements: Six to twelve months to become familiar with products and procedures.
Education requirements: High school with additional training in math or equivalent.
