Your role as Reception Manager is to keep the energy high, the service flowing and the guests happy.
You’re right at the very heart of the action, with the power to make a real difference to people’s day, while working on the desk with team too. By passing on your wisdom and experience, you’ll play a key role in keeping our service levels high.
With a number of check-ins often happening around the same time, reception work can be busy – but it’s extremely rewarding, and things are certainly never dull. You’ll feel a sense of pride when you help to train staff newcomers – and see them flourish under your guidance.
Team spirit is vital, and it really is you and the team that set the mood of the Hotel. That’s why it’s important for us to have the right personalities at reception.
Experience with IT systems would be helpful as you will be looking after people reservations and checking-in and out, but at Cotswold Inns & Hotels, personality and people-skills are more important than your previous positions.
