Roles and Responsibilities

In supporting the wider growth plan detailed above, KPMG Law is now seeking a senior real estate lawyer (10+ years PQE) to join its team in London, as a director, to focus on helping to grow the new and expanding real estate legal services practice leveraging the synergies and opportunities created by KPMG’s market leading real estate tax and deal advisory practices.

The director role within KPMG is akin to a salaried partner in a law firm including revenue targets and team management responsibility. This role is client facing working alongside a partner in the London team (as well as the wider London and National legal practice) with a focus on providing multi-disciplinary real estate deal solutions to clients in the London region and internationally.

The successful candidate will have broad experience in commercial real estate investment (direct and indirect), development and supporting real estate finance transactions gained at an international practice in London predominantly acting for real estate investment funds, private equity and/or listed property companies and:

be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is excited by the opportunity to build on the existing exciting growth of this business by providing multi-disciplinary legal services in a different environment and manner while delivering a great service to clientshave a proven track record of building and growing client relationshipsbe able to demonstrate the ability to provide commercial legal advice as a rounded business adviser and a willingness to work as part of one team with non-legal professionals to provide client solutionswill be a driven and proactive team player who enjoys working with people from different backgrounds and disciplineswill be able to demonstrate team management and development skills and a willingness to train and mentor team membersbe able to demonstrate sector expertise in one or more sectors
