Waste & Street Scene Manager
Salary: £36,444 to £42,867
Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week – Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00)
Great Yarmouth Services Limited is a new GYBC wholly owned Local Authority Trading Company starting 1st April 2023 which is being created to provide frontline and commercial services on behalf of the council, which is a forward thinking and dynamic company, looking to recruit a self-motivated Waste & Street Scene Manager.
The role reports directly to the Operations & Commercial Services Manager GYS Ltd who will lead and manage the GYS teams across Great Yarmouth and being responsible for Operational Services including waste collection, street cleansing and cleaning. The role will also be assisting in creating and managing Commercial Services within TECKAL compliance.
The applicant will also be required to undertake a wide range of operational management duties, including robust performance management, commercial activity and financial management whilst supporting the Operations & Commercial Services Manager in creating, managing, and maintaining the new company.
Applicants should be numerate, literate, have excellent organisational and communication skills, and must be able to work well as part of a team. You should also have knowledge of computerised systems including Microsoft applications, have excellent keyboard skills and a full driving license.
