Your role at a glance

We are looking for a Real Estate Data Manager! In this role you will lead the Real Assets Data Services team and report to the Head of Technology and Data.

The Real Assets Data Services team is dedicated to providing a first-class data service to Real Estate Equity. You will supervise the end to end Data Operations and manage the team to achieve daily and periodic reporting schedules across platforms and partners.


What you'll be doing
  • Manage the team to achieve daily and periodic reporting schedules across platforms and partners, Including daily finance data load to ensure that Fund Accounting receive all required data in timely fashion to cut daily unit prices and Fund NAVs;
  • Own the data control processes, standards and governance across the Real Estate Equity domain and ensure the team adheres to them.
  • Work with relevant teams and third parties to resolve operational / technical issues to assist removing blockers for the team.
  • Run ad-hoc data analysis to identify data improvement initiatives for the team to deliver
  • Channel ad-hoc data queries and projects to the RADS team so that they can further support the Real Estate Equity team with their access to quality data that supports their activities.
  • Lead third party onboarding and direct the team through to go live and stabilised BAU
  • Develop solutions to provide data insight via report creation or tool configuration in conjunction to sourcing and onboarding relevant data.
  • Understand the key data flows relied upon by the real estate business to feed the data flow, fund modelling platform, data warehouse and various other up/downstream applications.
  • Provide feedback on systems and identify product enhancements to assist end user activity either as a primary user or for administration.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers to adopt relevant SaaS releases to support maximum system reliability and suitability.
  • Liaise with Real Assets Knowledge Cell on synergies and new capabilities
What we're looking for
  • Have experience of managing and mentoring a team successfully
  • Be a strong communicator, and have the ability to present very complex data to different parts of the business
  • Experience of working in a Real Estate, Property Management, Investment Management business would be desirable
  • Level 6 Qualification in computing related education or relevant years’ experience
  • Have extensive experience data management and governance
  • Have knowledge of GDPR including for B2C, B2B, B2B2C and Outside EEA.
  • Have proven knowledge of database management from both internal and external data sources - Databases including structured and unstructured.
  • Have experience of designing and running appropriate system upgrade testing plans and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Automate / Power BI skills advantageous. Advanced Level of Excel knowledge is essential
  • Have good knowledge of SQL, Java
  • Knowledge of Alteryx and Cloudera is desirable
  • You will need to be comfortable with large datasets and reconciling them.
