ALP Nuneaton provides continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a short, medium and long-term provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and challenging behaviour. We cater for young people in their primary, secondary and post-16 school years. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with learners so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches.
The post-holder will lead, develop and embed a culture of reading across ALP Nuneaton and, liaising with the Literacy Lead and Headteacher. They will support the implementation of literacy interventions across the school. This will include the development, operation, management, resourcing and growth of our libraries, instilling a love of reading within our students, complementing the delivery of the curriculum across the school.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to train/gain funded qualifications in the following areas: Phonics, Level 5, PGCE, National Professional Qualifications, QTLS/QTS and other relevant training options are available linked to the post and the school development plan.
