About Us

Warwickshire County Council is pleased to announce that we are looking for a Reablement Administrator to join Warwickshire’s Reablement team. We are a well-established team of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Reablement Officers, Reablement Supervisors, Reablement Assistants and Social Care Practitioners, who have provided years of interventions for Warwickshire Reablement customers and aim to achieve the best outcomes going through their Reablement journey. Our Administrators provide valuable support to the Team Managers, Team Leaders and Seniors, the Team Administrator, Assessment Team, Supervisors and Reablement Assistants. Reablement focuses on promoting independence by supporting customers to do as much as possible for themselves both physically and psychologically. We do this by supporting customers to continue living in their own home, preventing admissions into hospital or residential settings, and facilitating timely discharges home.

We believe that by supporting customers to identify and achieve their personal goals and outcomes, and by embedding personalisation, customers will have choice and control over how their support will be delivered, this will have a positive impact on health and well-being.

The Role:

The Reablement Office is a busy working environment. It is important that you are organised and can prioritise your workload, sometimes working to departmental deadlines.

Using a variety of IT software, you will be supporting the team by making telephone calls to hospital wards and external partners to coordinate customers accessing the service and receiving assessments. Regular communications via telephone, emails, TEAMS and using spreadsheets to transfer information is a key part of the daily activities.

You will carry out general admin work, such as ordering ID badges, parking passes, ordering ICT equipment, sending out letters, scanning and archiving documents as required. You will be responsible for ensuring that staff information, such as mobile phone numbers, and driving related documents are current and comply with W.C.C policies and procedures.

You will also support the team by ordering PPE equipment, taking minutes of meetings as required and assist with raising purchase orders and processing financial payments.

Training and a thorough induction for the successful candidate will be provided.

Key Requirements:

You are required to have relevant clerical knowledge of using Microsoft Office based software. Excellent communication, literacy and numerical skills are a requirement of this role. On a daily basis, the role requires you to deal with colleagues, customers, health professionals and the public, either face to face or over the telephone, so it is important you have a courteous, professional manner. You must be able to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work on your own initiative. It is important to respect and maintain confidentiality of information, whilst adhering to Warwickshire County Council Policy and Procedures. You should maintain a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice in employment and service provision. The ability to be flexible is essential and work across the countywide service.

Having good time management/organisation skills is required; being solutions focussed and flexible in your approach, a willingness to travel across the county is desirable.

The post requires you to work a shift pattern of 9 am – 5.30 pm including one Saturday in every 7 weeks. There will also be requirement to work bank holidays on a rota basis.
