Job description
We are looking for a conscientious, hard-working, caring person to join our team as a Radiology Assistant within the CT and MRI department at Glangwili Hospital
This is a 22.5 hour part time post which includes long days, 8 am to 8pm, and weekends.
It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills.
You must have patience and be methodical, work well in a team but have the ability to take initiative and work individually.
Duties include:
Assisting the Radiographers working in the clinical area.
To perform clerical and administration duties.
To welcome patients and escort them to changing rooms.
To assist patients to prepare for imaging procedures.
Supporting the radiographers and patients during and after imaging procedures.
IV Cannulation of patients after training.
Cleaning and general hygiene tasks in the department.
Stocktaking and ordering of designated consumables.
Previous hospital experience would be desirable.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
