About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified Radiographer to join our team at our our static PET-CT service in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth PET CT Centre based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital enjoys a long-standing relationship with the Trust. Our multi-cultural team are all local and they understand the patients, Trust ethos and NHS contract.
You will follow our Graduate Preceptorship scheme working at the Queen Alexandra Hospital. During the preceptorship you will gain experience in PET-CT over a 2-year period.
If you are a newly qualified radiographer, then this is the opportunity for you. Alliance Medical have a robust clinical competency framework and can provide the essential training you will need in PET-CT.
You will follow our Graduate training scheme and clinical competency pathway and be supported on this pathway by our mentors and assessors. Training will be delivered “On the Job” and in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy.
You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training.
You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCA’s, and administrative staff.
The hours for this role are 40 hours per week Monday - Sunday
We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Radiographer to work 40 hours per week. The successful applicant will not need experience with MRI imaging procedures although this may be an advantage. The unit operates 7 days per week 12hrs per day with a varied case mix. Flexibility is required as you will be working as part of a small dynamic team.

Required Skills and Experience
We are looking for Radiographers with a minimum of 12 months of experience and ideally some experience in cross sectional imaging.
You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training.
