Job description

Reliable Flexibility to work varied duties. Be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision To participate in the Individual Performance review system. To be willing to train new staff. To use appropriate channels of referral for matters not within his/her sphere of competence.

Be professional in appearance and conduct A willingness to help others in the department with ad hoc duties Be of a mature, pleasant and friendly nature. Have a flexible approach to their work. Be committed and focused to provide a quality service that meets the needs of patients, staff and other health professionals. Be able to communicate at all levels with a professional manner, showing politeness and empathy towards patients and their families.

Have an ability to progress through reflective practice Co-operate with all policies and procedures designed to ensure equality of employment. Strive to provide a high quality patient centred service in line with radiology and Trust values. Value team working and ensure effective communication with staff and other departments to provide a smooth and efficient running of the service. Respect patient confidentiality at all times and not divulge patient information unless sanctioned by the requirements of the role.

To be aware and comply with all standards of conduct and care related to the Trust in general and the Department of Radiology in particular. Have a knowledge of the methods of image production Able to prioritise work To be aware of the responsibilities for safety and comply with Fire, Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and their application. To be aware of current Ionising Radiation Regulations.
