Job description
Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, Diagnostic Imaging Department is looking for a part time Radiographic Department Assistant (RDA) to work in the x-ray department at Gosport War Memorial Hospital.
The RDA role is crucial to the smooth running of the x-ray department at the weekends and evenings.
As an RDA you will work alongside a Radiographer and assist them by greeting and booking in patients using the Radiology Information System, preparing patients for their examination, assisting the Radiographer with any manual handling required, cleaning the equipment between examinations and liaisingwith departments to arrange imaging of their patients.
The working pattern for this role is:
Every third Friday evening 1630-2130, Saturday and Sunday 0830-2130 (30 hours every third week, equivalent to 10 hours per week).
Bank holiday working and Christmas working on a rotational basis is an expectation of this role. The department is open every day of the year.
