Overview of the role
The working pattern for this role is 36 hours per week (3 x 12 hours shifts over Monday to Sunday).
UK Biobank are seeking to hire Radiographer to join our team based in Newcastle to play a key role in the biggest research study of its kind ever undertaken. Our Centre consists of two Siemens MRI scanners, a 3T Skyra for neuro imaging, (including fMRI), and a 1.5T Aera for cardiac and abdominal imaging. In addition to this, the teams also undertake DEXA and Ultrasound scans of the carotid artery.
Key Responsibilities
The Radiography Team are responsible for capturing high quality images according to our protocols for the Imaging Enhancement Study. They provide a key role in ensuring they obtain high quality images whilst ensuring ‘incidental findings’ of a potentially serious nature, observed during routine scanning, are reported in accordance with UK Biobank’s policy.
