About R&D
The core responsibility of the R&D Team at Sika Leeds is innovation of technologies to provide unrivalled sustainable solutions, we aim to be a driver of the transformation of the Construction, manufacturing, and DIY industries towards net Zero.
Purpose of the Role
At our Leeds site we work on a broad range of chemistries from building chemicals, solvent borne adhesives to water-based acrylics, silicone and STP sealants and adhesives. The successful candidate will join the silicone and STP team whose mission is to bring to market the next generation of sustainable products.

You will be a key member of an energetic team, working with a wide range of departments including operations, product management and sales, to introduce to market new and improved products. As a key member of the R&D team, you will be responsible for formulating market leading sealants & adhesives. You will also help elevate any supply challenges by approving alternative raw materials and work closely with the Operations & QC Teams to solve any technical issues on plant.

We Need Your Skills
What we need from you?
- On track to achieving an upper second-class hours degree in Chemistry
- Proven team-working skills, as well as being able to work under own initiative
- A highly motivated individual who shares our passion for delivering high performance, sustainable solutions to the construction industry
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to think outside the box
- Confidence with excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written
